NCJW Library Projects

NCJW New Orleans has a long history of involvement with reading and institutions devoted to books. Recent programs (2019) include incentives for children and their parents to use the public library. In one such program, Books and Beanbags, over 700 families reported involvement. Using the New Orleans Public Library as a base, other collaborations have involved pairing children with working artists, favorite art books, and art activities. These and other programs have been supported alongside help from the Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) program, Ace Bayou Corporation, and Capital One Bank.
